The Why

Our client is a new kind of organisation, one that’s as supportive and socially conscious as it is agile and explorative. Their DNA is around having a commercial mind and social heart and it captures who they are at the core. Due to continued growth and development as an organisation, they are now looking to hire two Communications Leads on Contract starting ASAP.

The What

Lead, manage and oversee communication programs that promote, enhance and build image and reputation. Identify and manage proactive communication opportunities, including driving a range of external communication initiatives which build understanding and support for our client.

  •  Create, implement and manage key communication activities and messages to defined target audiences to establish goodwill and understanding between the business and its stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement the communication strategy and provide advice and guidance on reputation management and for ensuring the communication approach adopted is appropriate for the target audience.

  • Partner with internal clients to define business needs and objectives, crafting appropriate communication strategies and tactics to achieve business goals.

  • Develop and deliver messaging using a variety of tools, including events, brochures, web, video, infographics and social media to ensure it reaches its target audience.

  • Oversee all internal and external communications that develop a consistent and integrated strategy.

  • Work closely and collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team to coordinate communication with the broader company message and strategy.

  • Identify and address potential communication issues, and opportunities, which may have an impact on the orginisations profile, and implement solutions to achieve the best outcome.

  • Prepare and maintain materials, including brochures, posters, letters, website and intranet content, newsletters, FAQs, presentations and briefs, key messages, speeches.   

  • Identify and monitor potential issues, trends and media opportunities and collaborate with corporate affairs team to ensure a consistent and effective presence.

  • Build and maintain a professional network with key external stakeholders and actively seek to influence their approach and work with them to drive maximum value out of ancillary communications resources.

  • Support and assist in the preparation and planning of industry events and provide advice on these events to the executive team.

The How

  • Extensive managerial experience in marketing communications in an issues-rich and high stakes commercial environment, as well as in a political environment.

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills with proven ability to translate insights into actionable plans and recommendations.

  • Experience working across  Insurance, Health or Government would be preferable.

  • Experienced in project-managing multiple Media & PR programs in parallel

  • Degree in communications, business or a related disciplines
